Parents of children eligible for Universal Pre-Kindergarten Program during 2012 – 2013 school year
Attention:
If you have a child who was born between December 2, 2007 – December 1, 2008 your child will be eligible to attend the Pre-Kindergarten Program. If you plan to have your child attend Pre-K in September 2012 it is imperative to contact the elementary office. Sign-up period begins Monday, January 9th and will continue until Wednesday, February 1st, 2012. Please contact the office at 546-3301, ext. 701 between the hours of 8:30 – 3:00 PM.
Moriah Central School Universal Pre-Kindergarten Registration has been scheduled for Wednesday, May 16th; Thursday, May 17th and Tuesday, May 22nd.
Early releases and school closures
Moriah Central School is now using a telephone call to inform parents about snow days and unexpected early releases. Please bear in mind that we will be using the number we have on record for your family. If you are not certain what number the school has on file, please give the office (546-3301) a call at your very earliest convenience.
We want to remind everyone about our dress code. Below is a brief summary of the Moriah Central School District dress code. The entire policy may be found here.. Students are expected to dress appropriately and in a manner that will not disrupt or interfere with the educational process. Shorts must have a minimum 5 inch inseam. Tube tops, halter tops, net tops, spaghetti straps, short skirts, and plunging necklines are not acceptable. Please review the dress code policy with your child(ren) and encourage appropriate dress for school. If a student’s attire does not meet the dress code policy, they will need to change their clothes before being able to return to class. Students with inappropriate attire will be placed in the In-School Suspension room until clothing is provided by the parent or the District. Thank you for your understanding and support. Students and their parents have the primary responsibility for acceptable student dress and appearance.
